Boys’ Brigade

Overview

We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. Heb. 6:19 NIV

Who we are

Boys’ Brigade is an evangelistic outreach ministry based in local schools, supported by partnering churches. Each BB company operates as one of the Co-Curriculum Activities (CCA) in the School. Bethesda Hall (Ang Mo Kio) has been supporting the BB Company 29J in Mayflower Primary School for about 20 years.

It takes place on every Friday (Except School Holidays) from 7:30am to 9am at Mayflower Primary School (MFPS). Some additional events are conducted on selected Saturdays.

Mission & Vision

BB Mission: To nurture Youth, based on Christian values to serve and lead

Vision: To be the Youth Organisation of Choice

The Object of The Boys’ Brigade shall be the advancement of Christ’s Kingdom among Boys and the promotion of habits of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, Self-Respect and all that tends towards a true Christian Manliness.

What to expect

At BB, you get to interact, teach and guide the Boys (P3 to P6) in the CCA allotted time of about 1 hour almost every week. You are expected to prepare and conduct Christian Education lessons based on the Bible, games and activities.

As part of the CCA curriculum, you also need to impart different practical knowledge and skills to the Boys such as First Aids, leadership training, team building, etc.

Most importantly and ultimately, you will be able to reach out to the Boys at a personal level and bring them closer to Christ through your Christ-like behaviour, life-style witnessing and Christian friendship.

We welcome full-time volunteer, project-based volunteer or part-time volunteer to join this ministry.
