Overview

“Pray to the Lord of the harvest to send labourers into His harvest.” (Mt. 9:38)

Mission Group is the mission arm of the assembly to promote, pray and participate in local and overseas missions with the following objectives:

Pray for both local and overseas missionaries;
Pen/email a letter to encourage overseas missionaries;
Promote and participate in overseas mission trips; and
Provide practical fellowship to the Lord’s servants.

We have contacts with missionaries serving in Africa, Brazil, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Israel, Japan, Jordan, S. Korea, Malaysia, Moldova, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Paraguay, Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.

What to Expect

The group meets monthly for prayers on items received from their local and overseas contacts. They spend 45 minutes praying before meeting one of their missionary contacts via Zoom for an updated report of their work. They have a monthly collection and use it to extend practical fellowship to their contacts.

Yearly, they would organise a mission exposure trip or Medical, Dental and Eye Care Mission for those interested in getting involved in overseas missions. They usually work closely with their contacts in and around Asia.
