Community Outreach

Overview

We are a small pool of volunteers with a passion for interacting with Elderly in St.Luke’s Eldercare Kebun Baru and helping poor residents living in one-room rental units in Blk 257, which is home to many residents who are poor, unemployed, lonely, elderly, sick and physically disadvantaged.

We see their plight and offer to befriend them with meals, outings, visitations and food hampers during the various festive seasons.

Donations of food ration by parents, Elderly interaction through programmes, song items, sharing sessions are conducted by participating members.

Although these little acts may not amount to much for their long-term needs, but the residents are still appreciative of the care and concern members of BAMK have shown.

What to Expect

Some activities we have organised  visiting interesting places, like the Museum, Zoo, Gardens by the Bay, and meal fellowship at our BAMK basement. Many of the residents have attended the various evangelistic outreach programmes and heard the gospel. Some have attended the Yum Cha sessions, the Assembly Gospel Rally and the Chinese Assembly’s gospel meetings in Chinese.
